HIV/ AIDS Awareness Campaign

Background:

 

In many ways, HIV/AIDS awareness plays a vital role in its management.  One of the most important things it does is make people realise that everyone should know their status.

Education is therefore a key component of our core service offering and is strongly recommended as a minimum HIV/AIDS intervention.

 

If you are a designated employer in terms of the Employment Equity Act, you are obligated to provide HIV awareness to employees in your workplace.  This program was designed with that in mind.

 

The program includes:

  1. An engaging HIV slideshow with video's (STD's and medical male circumcision is also discussed as well as HIV treatments and diet)
  2. A delegate workbook
  3. Post session assessment
  4. Medical testing for HIV, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, TB, Prostate Examination and Papsmeer (optional extras include optometrist and podiatrist examinations)
  5. Councelling for employees wit a qualified counsellor
  6. Free condoms and brochures
  7. Certificate upon completion
  8. Personal financial health workshop

 

Minimum number of delegates per session:  20

 

PLUS: we've decided to include everything your organisation needs to know as an employer about HIV/AIDS Management:

  1. An employer guide to dealing with HIV in the workplace (what the law says, impact your business, testing and what to do if an employee contracted HIV at work).
  2. Basic HIV/AIDS company policy
  3. HIV Awareness posters
